JOB SUMMARY 

The Purchasing Operations Supervisor is a unique position as it also has dual responsibilities across our two Sheraton branded Resorts for Marriot Vacations Worldwide (MVW). Experience in a high-volume purchasing environment is helpful.

Purchasing Operations Supervisor is tasked with Supervising the Purchasing Dept and its warehouse staff. The Purchasing Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the warehouse operation and acts as a level of redundancy in the absence of a Buyer. The Supervisor will be trained as a Buyer and will additionally take on those responsibilities in the absence of a Buyer.

The Supervisor works directly with the team members in distribution to ensure proper procedures are being adhered to, service is being rendered correctly, assisting during peak times, auditing inventory. In addition, the Supervisor is responsible for working with the Receiver on busy or unusually large deliveries such as linen, or introduction to new items i.e., small appliances. When necessary, the Supervisor will also make deliveries between resorts or pick up items from one of the warehouses used or a vendor.

Shift: 1st; must be available to work weekends and holidays.

Requirement: Valid Driver's License required.

  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.  

  • Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.  

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
