Hourly Rate: $24.40

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Serves as a departmental role model or mentor by working alongside employees to perform technical or functional job duties.

  • Leads a team of housekeepers assigned to clean suites.
     

  • Assign and ensure work tasks are completed on time and that they meet appropriate quality standards.
     

  • Has the authority to assign room assignments and Public Areas for cleaning to the Housekeepers and House Persons when the Manager or Supervisor is not present.
     

  • Organizes and takes a close inventory of all Housekeeping Storages.
     

  • Communicates with Supervisors and Managers on job performance but does not deliver any disciplinary actions.
     

  • Ensure that all housekeeping staff follow the guidelines and SOPs for their day-to-day duties. 
     

  • Discusses work topics, activities, or problems with coworkers, supervisors, or managers discreetly and quietly, avoiding public areas of the property.
     

  • Speaks to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language.
     

  • Talks with and listen to other employees to effectively exchange information.  Exchanges information with other employees using electronic devices (e.g., pagers and two-way radios, email).
     

  • Performs all the regular tasks of a Housekeeper or House Person which include, but not limited to, cleaning suites, House Person duties, public area cleaning, and deep cleaning projects.
     

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
     

  • Experience
     

  • 2 Years in Housekeeping or 1 Year in a Luxury Hotel Housekeeping
     

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to speak and hear.  Close and distance vision.  Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
     

  • Additional physical and visual requirements

  • Stand for long periods of time
     

  • Walk extended distances
     

  • Lift/carry over 50 lbs.
