Job Summary
Provide direction, support, coordination and leadership for the Project Management Team, Sales Teams of Owner, and Front Line. Ensure proper focus is maintained on achieving 110% of projected sales volume goals through the implementation of our Total Quality Management principles.
Expected Contributions
- Develop and implement overall project strategies in coordination with the Project Director and On-Site sales management team.
- Ensure profitability of Starwood Vacation Ownership, Inc./Cancun by exceeding revenue targets at or below budgeted expense.
- Management of price and pace through inventory, sales commissions and the Project proforma.
- Forecast and budget annual sales targets.
- Day-to-day interface with sales and marketing administrative functions.
- Ensure Project’s compliance and commitment with all corporate policies and procedures.
- Provide direction and assistance in the development of On-site sales training and development programs.
- Provide direction and assistance in the development of Tour Guide, Tour Guide II and Team Leader programs.
- Properly communicate information and feedback to sales and management team regarding performance criteria and employee culture.
- Coordinate the overall sales and management strategy, specifically the overall selling process and commitment to closing escrow on all sales.
- Project and manage revenue forecasts and trends with Project Director.
- Lead by example, specifically provide direction in developing the management and leadership skills of the management team. Develop strong employee team culture.
- Properly implement sales meetings, staff meetings and performance evaluation process and guidelines.
- Ensure that a proper sales balance of inventory is maintained through use of sales compensation and FDBs. Maintain or beat FDB budget.
- Properly analyze all sales/marketing program efficiencies and performance and regularly communicate with marketing.
- Develop a high-performance sales team through the proper recruitment, selection, training, and coaching processes/procedures. Performances manage non-productive employees.
Candidate Profile
- College degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in sales management with at least two (2) years in a director level position within the vacation membership industry.
- Proven successful track record in Vacation Membership Program sales.
- No prior record of misconduct or misrepresentation.
- Advanced computer skills for reporting and communication purposes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and persuasiveness skills.
- Detail oriented, ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be results-oriented with ability to be flexible.
- Ability to understand and interpret financial data.
- Positive attitude and supportive team-based approach toward the attainment of the program’s short- and long-term goals.
- Must be able to motivate associates in a positive manner.
- Strong supervisory, managerial, development and coaching skills.
- Excellent leadership skills demonstrating adaptability, flexibility, and team orientation.
- Strong ability to exercise sound judgement in evaluating situations and making decisions.
- Mathematical Reasoning - The ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly, correctly, and in a way that allows one to solve work-related issues.
- Bilingual, ability to speak English and Spanish fluently.
- Ability to work flexible hours and days. It is anticipated that the position will require working a provided Monday-Friday schedule. Occasionally a six- or seven-day work schedule and/or Holidays will be required.
- Stands, sits, or walks for extended periods. Ability to climb stairs.
- Moves, lifts, carries, pushes, pulls, and places objects weighing less than or equal to 35 pounds without assistance.
