Job Summary

Reporting to the SVP Global Information Security and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the AVP of Identity & Access Management (IAM is a dynamic and strategic leader. This role is instrumental in shaping and executing our enterprise-wide IAM strategy.

This role leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of identity and access capabilities across our global organization. This includes driving initiatives such as centralized user provisioning, access certification workflows, audit and compliance readiness, hybrid cloud identity governance, privileged access management, and modern authentication and authorization practices.

This is a high-impact leadership role that requires a strong understanding of identity governance, risk management, and enterprise security architecture. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, scalable, and user-friendly access solutions that support our business goals.

Contributions

The AVP of Identity & Access Management (IAM), is a key leader in shaping and executing the enterprise IAM strategy. Contributions include:

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Driving the architecture, implementation, and management of IAM solutions, including Customer IAM (CIAM), Governance, Access Management, and Privileged Access Management.
    • Aligning IAM initiatives with business goals to ensure secure, scalable, and compliant identity services across hybrid cloud environments.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Providing technical leadership for IAM system integration, performance optimization, and secure design across platforms and applications.
    • Developing and maintaining IAM policies, standards, and procedures to ensure systems are secure, up-to-date, and resilient to emerging threats.
  • Collaboration & Influence
    • Partnering with business and technology stakeholders to translate IAM requirements into actionable technical solutions.
    • Collaborating with Information Security, Data Privacy, and application development teams to embed security best practices into digital and service delivery platforms.
  • Governance & Compliance
    • Conducting audits and reviews to ensure compliance with IAM standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintaining comprehensive documentation of IAM strategies, architecture frameworks, and security design patterns.
  • Mentorship & Team Development
    • Mentoring junior team members and contribute to the growth and maturity of the security organization.
    • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Project & Process Excellence
    • Contributing to business process improvements and departmental planning.
    • Participating in major application development projects to ensure secure architecture alignment with enterprise security strategy.

Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Master’s degree in Information Security or a related discipline preferred.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Identity Governance Expert (CIGE)
  • Certified Identity and Access Management (CIAM)
  • GIAC Identity Management (GIAC)

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Information Security, with at least 8 years focused on IAM.
  • Proven leadership in managing mid-to-large scale IAM environments (2M+ identities).
  • Hands-on experience with regulatory frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, or SOC 2.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms including AWS and Microsoft Azure/Entra ID.
  • Proficiency with modern IAM platforms such as OCI, SailPoint, Saviynt, BeyondTrust, and CyberArk.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strategic thinker with strong decision-making skills and the ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of identity management, authentication systems, and access control models (role/attribute-based).
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement secure, scalable IAM solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Broad experience across cybersecurity domains including architecture, operations, cloud security, and governance.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage executive stakeholders with minimal oversight.
  • Highly organized with excellent planning, time management, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Committed to continuous learning and development in the evolving cybersecurity landscape.
