Role Overview:
The Area Director of Human Resources (ADHR) is a senior HR leader responsible for delivering strategic and operational HR support across multiple countries, including Ireland, the UK, France, and Dubai. The role partners closely with regional and site leadership to drive business results through strong people strategies, effective associate relations, leadership development, and consistent HR practices.
Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources (APEME), the ADHR works in collaboration with HR Centres of Excellence to implement enterprise-wide HR programs while ensuring compliance with local employment laws and company policies.
Key Accountabilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Act as a trusted HR business partner to senior leaders, providing proactive advice on people strategy, organizational effectiveness, and workforce risk.
- Supports the development and execution of business and people strategies that drive performance and engagement across the region.
- Ensure consistency, fairness, and compliance in the application of HR policies and practices.
People & Team Leadership
- Leads, coaches, and develop field HR leaders and teams.
- Builds HR capability through performance management, succession planning, and professional development.
- Drives continuous improvement in HR service delivery and operational effectiveness.
Talent Management & Development
- Oversee workforce planning, talent acquisition strategies, and onboarding processes.
- Leads performance management, leadership development, succession planning, and human capital review processes.
- Partners with Talent Management and Training teams to identify and deliver leadership and associate development initiatives.
- Supports engagement survey execution, analysis, and action planning.
Compensation & Rewards
- Partners with Compensation teams to ensure internal equity and external market competitiveness.
- Supports implementation of annual compensation, incentive, bonus, and merit programs.
- Advises leaders on employment contracts, compensation plans, and pay-related matters.
Associate Relations & Employee Experience
- Serves as the regional escalation point for complex or high-risk associate relations issues.
- Leads sensitive investigations in partnership with Legal and Internal Investigations.
- Coach’s leaders on performance management, conduct, workplace culture, and people risk mitigation.
- Promotes a positive, inclusive, and compliant work environment.
Compliance Management
- Ensures compliance with local employment legislation and company standards through audits, processes, and controls.
Project Management & Data‑Driven Decision Making
- Leads large‑scale HR projects and regional initiatives, applying formal project management methodologies to ensure effective planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
- Partners with HR Centres of Excellence to translate enterprise programs into regional implementation roadmaps.
- Utilizes HR analytics, workforce data, and business insights to measure impact, guide prioritization, and improve outcomes across talent, engagement, performance, and compliance.
- Champions data literacy within HR teams and leadership, ensuring insights are clearly communicated and actionable.
Experience & Capabilities
- Minimum 7 years of progressive HR generalist experience, including senior leadership roles
- Strong background in multi-site environments desirable
- Experience in hospitality, vacation ownership, or sales-driven organizations
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and manage complex people issues
- Deep knowledge of employment law, associate relations, and HR best practices
- Comfortable working across cultures, geographies, and fast‑changing environments
- Workday knowledge is desirable

- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree and HR certification preferred
