CRITICAL TASKS
- Collect and load containers, waste and recyclables into the designated collection vehicle, ensuring proper handling and compliance with safety guidelines.
- Drive collection vehicle along the assigned route, stopping at designated collection points to pick up trash and recyclables.
- Empty waste and recycling bins at collection points using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment.
- Securing and covering loaded materials to prevent spillage or debris from falling during transport.
- Operate compactors, shredders, or other equipment to compress or process collected waste materials.
- Maintain the cleanliness and order of the collection containers, as well as their storage areas and recycling areas.
- Keep collection areas and common spaces clean of debris and rubbish.
- Maintain the cleanliness and order of the collection vehicle, carrying out routine
inspections and resolving any mechanical problems to ensure its correct operation.
- Adhere to collection schedules and deadlines set by the supervisor to ensure waste
is removed and disposed of on time.
- Identify and report any necessary repairs or replacements.
- Complete the necessary documentation, such as collection and maintenance records, accurately and on time.
- Provide excellent customer service responding to inquiries or concerns from residents or property owners, about waste collection and recycling.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries during collection and disposal activities.
