As a member of the professional staff, contributes specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Resources, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support team and/or department business objectives. Generally, works under limited supervision, but within established guidelines, producing and analyzing more complex business information to assist in the decision-making process.
Specific Job Summary
The Manager, Field and Event Marketing (MFEM) will be responsible for supporting the strategy and execution of the Owner Events Channel and Site Sold Package channels. The position supports the development of the channel strategy but is responsible for the implementation and execution of the individual channel’s marketing strategy. The MFEM partners with site Directors of Marketing, Marketing Managers, and Event Managers / Coordinators to achieve and/or exceed tour and revenues budgets.
The MFEM will assist with FriendShare (the owner referral reward program) administration by working with Call Center Operations, Marketing Operations and Site Distribution to oversee implementation, compliance, revenue generation, communication, customer issue resolution, cost control, and reporting. This position will include auditing the costs of the FriendShare program, daily monitoring of any owner issues that arise and to ensure the websites are up to date and legally compliant.
The position ensures that all marketing and logistic plans are aligned with the company’s best practices and ensures corporate brand standards are maintained. All Events execution shall comply with applicable Brand and Legal standards.

Specific Expected Contributions
This position will oversee processes in the following areas:
Owner Events and Owner Cruise Planning & Execution
Support corporate Marketing team on event plans and has an integral role in in executing action plans, timelines and logistics for events and Owner cruise.
Initiate project request form/creative process for weekly emails and web landing pages for approved events and communicate event details to web vendor.
Assist with creation, approval and execution of weekly emails and regular social media posts to promote events.
Initiate project request form/creative process for promotional and transactional Owner cruise emails, landing pages and print materials for Owner cruises.
Assist with creation, approval and execution of promotional and transactional Owner cruise emails.
Assist with obtaining brand, risk and legal approval of event emails and web landing pages and all Owner cruise materials (emails, print materials, web pages).
Initiate effort code creation for events.
Initiate weekly data requests for event emails.
Manage event setup spreadsheet and process with various departments, i.e. analysts/activations, training, communications, etc.
Request system setup of all events (TSW request and DGSun booking form) and Owner cruises via the analyst team.
Manage event setups with training to ensure Knowledge is updated with all events details until replacement system is developed.
Generate and manage Knowledge replacement (event information repository) where agents locate event details.
Manage event setups with communications team to ensure Acknowledgements are generated for Owners when an event is booked.
Manage past, sold out, and cancelled events with analyst and training teams.
Update daily events booking reports.
Track performance of event marketing efforts.
Generate suppression files for vendors and communications teams for bookings and marketing emails for Owner cruise.
Generate booking reports and audit Owner cruise bookings against vendor reports.
Provide coverage to support the call center booking team when corporate Marketing team is unavailable.
Support an atmosphere in all event management operations areas that meets or exceeds guest expectations.
Site/Universal Return-Stay Vacation Packages (Bounceback) and New Owner Experiences
Assist the Director of Marketing (DOM) in the processes, execution, management, and support of Site and Universal Return Stay Vacation Packages and New Owner Experience Packages.
A point person for connecting interdepartmental resources (Site Leaders, Finance and Accounting, Legal, Creative and Call Centers) for execution of our sites sold package programs. Role directly impacts production, budget and cost of both channels.
Building relationships with Site stakeholders to provide support for new and existing site sole package programs.
Maintenance and updates of all current site sold package details and collateral.
Development and execution of site sold package receipts and Details of Participation.
Track and protect data integrity for on all packages through new effort codes that coincide with each price or offer change.
FriendShare Administration
Resolve FriendShare Owner issues (from Owner Services, Call Center, FriendShare.com & corporate officers).
Monitor Data Entry process from Owners marriott vacation club and MVCFriendshare.com.
Manage processes in support of all aspects of processing lead flow to maximize the profitability of all Owner Referral lead opportunities from MVCFriendshare.com and Owners.marriottvacationclub.
Periodically test FriendShare and MVCFriendshare.com telephone lines
Monitor FriendShare Comments mailbox and respond to Owner questions and concerns accordingly.
Check FriendShare Email Boxes.
Audit FriendShare Fulfillment (including Domestic & Int’l FriendShare Maintenance Fee Fulfillment, FriendShare Maintenance Fee Election file from Owners.Vacationclub.com, etc.)
Manage, review and update various FriendShare reports (trends, accounting from Greg Temple and web reports from Owner.Vacationclub.com and MVCFriendshare.com)

Business Partnership
Develops working relationships with outside vendors for events and Owner cruise to enhance these experiences and to increase additional revenue opportunities for the site teams.
Ensures that regular, ongoing communication is happening in all areas of event and Owner cruise operations.
Integrates promotional efforts with marketing, eCommerce.
Builds and maintains critical relationships.
Maintains close communications with site Marketing teams.
Maintains close communications with Creative department for all supporting materials for events, Owner cruise, FriendShare, Site/Universal Return-Stay Vacation Packages (Bounceback) and New Owner Experiences.
Liaise with the Risk Management team to obtain approval for vendors and appropriate certificates of insurance (COIs) as required.
Liaise with the Legal department to obtain needed approvals of supporting materials for events, Owner cruise, FriendShare, Site/Universal Return-Stay Vacation Packages (Bounceback) and New Owner Experiences.
Confirm room availability with Inventory team for events and new owner experiences.
Works with Owner Services departments on event and Owner cruise setup needs.
Clearly communicates and coordinates tasks and event and Owner cruise information amongst several departments: Legal, Brand & Digital, Resort Sales and Services, Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, the Warehouse, etc.
Systems
Maintains accurate and up–to-date event activity, tracking, and budget data/reports using appropriate systems.
Manages WorkFront creative requests for events, Owner cruise, FriendShare, Site/Universal Return-Stay Vacation Packages (Bounceback) and New Owner Experiences.
Measures and report success of events to stakeholders using relevant tools.
Maintains Event Progress Report.
Requests and distribute effort codes to ensure proper event tracking.
Maintains event and Owner cruise setup process (TSW and DGSun form) and tracking.
Maintains Events Marketing Website:
Ensure website is current.

Usually, a professional position with general knowledge in a discipline (i.e., Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology). College degree and/or related experience typically required.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality management, public relations, marketing, business or communications - Marketing/Advertising concentration preferred.
Experience
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience managing vacation ownership on-site marketing programs.
Minimum of two years’ experience in event planning.
Proven experience delivering effective communications that deliver against our strategies, on time and on budget.
Skilled writer and editor.
Timeshare/Hospitality/lodging industry experience a plus. MVW-specific knowledge, an advantage.
Working knowledge of the financial reporting of marketing channels an advantage.
Skills/Attributes
Demonstrated ability in conceptualizing, planning, organizing and implementing multi-faceted marketing campaigns.
