WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Reports to: F&B Manager dotted line to Assistant Guest Relation Manager Supervises: N/A Interfaces: Guest Relation Assistant, F&B team ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: ▪ Arrive in proper uniform with name tag and conduct yourself professionally when on property and ensure that the daily assignments are completed as scheduled. ▪ To use outlined procedures when performing opening and closing duties; this includes basic accounting and computer skills. ▪ Knowledge and understanding of all resort activities and concierge knowledge. ▪ Excellent organizational skills and ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks. ▪ Supervision and control of guests that use the Pool areas include taking care of removing towels on sunbeds or cleaning. ▪ Maintain communication with supervisors to ensure secure Pool area or guest issues. ▪ Promote F&B offerings and assists service around pool deck when needed. ▪ Promotes programmed pool activities and supports activities team as needed. ▪ To cross train, be familiar with and competent in the performance and understanding of other functions required of this department and be able to fill in as required and as directed in the absence of associates who are normally responsible for those duties. ▪ Ability to work effectively in a team environment. ▪ Maintain a clean, neat and well-organized workplace, which projects a professional atmosphere, and which supports the general goals of the department and provides a desirable workplace. • Commitment to Owners and Guest satisfaction. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping, lifting 20kg, climbing ladders and up to 5 floors of stairs. • Good visual observation. • Resistance to inclement weather conditions (heat, sun, and humidity) • Walking and working outside of air-controlled areas for longer periods. • Should be in good physical health. MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the F&B department. Duties may include concierge responsibilities, control including saunas, steam baths, provide assistance to lifeguard in pool-related matters, and any other F&B duties assigned by manager and supervisor. OTHER: • Perform all tasks in a timely manner ensuring all deadlines are met. • Perform other related tasks as assigned by management. • Comply with MVCI and MVW policies and procedures. • Be proactive and have a flexible approach to work, always meeting the needs of the team and the business. • Maintain an attitude and commitment to provide excellent service to all customers and associates. Respond sensitively to the needs and feelings of others, regardless of status or position; accept interpersonal differences and maintain a constructive rapport with all associates and customers. • Maintain a working knowledge of all Marriott product lines. • Maintain computer systems knowledge (Office 365etc) • Work with all MVCI colleagues as a team, always supporting the needs within that team and those of the business The Marriott Resort functions 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. All associates must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to move an associate from their accustomed shifts as business demands. In addition, it is understood that business determines the number of hours that are worked, and that some weeks may be scheduled at less than 40 hours, and other weeks for more than 40 hours.
