JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the overall planning, functioning, administration and day-to-day operation of Housekeeping. Responsible for directing the Housekeeping and Laundry Departments to ensure quality cleaning held to Aston standards.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Post high school education or training preferred.
- 5 or more years’ experience in Housekeeping administration. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
- CEH designation preferred.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
- Direct departmental efforts to recruit, train, employ and evaluate housekeeping workforce. Coordinate administrative duties with supervisory staff.
- Prepare and administer approved budget for department. Monitor and maintain inventory control and related costs.
- Direct purchasing of all cleaning supplies/materials through prescribed methods to ensure good quality, low cost, and availability. Develop and maintain outside vendor contacts.
- Define, update and carry out cleaning standards, procedures and processes.
- Work with leadership team to lead by example and train employees on safe work practices and established safety procedures. Prepare guest and/or employee incident reports following proper company procedures.
- Comply with company policies, OSHA requirements and applicable guidelines and laws.
- Maintain high company standards to meet guest/owner satisfaction.
- Deal effectively with a high volume of tasks and guest requests. Resolve guest and employee issues appropriately.
- Be knowledgeable and support Knowcross and all other applicable systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
