Job Summary
The Director, Data Center Management, is responsible for shaping and executing the Global Technology strategy for Data Centers. This role is responsible for defining the strategic vision, design, development, and delivery of Data Centers, Server Rooms, Main Distribution Frames (MDF) and Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDF) across all brands, at resorts, corporate locations, and contact centers. The focus of this role is on advancing technology initiatives that align with business goals and optimizing Global Technology processes.
This role highlights the necessity of collaboration between other Global Technology functions, as well as various business units within a hospitality organization, to ensure that technology strategies align with overall business objectives. By establishing strategic partnerships, this position is an internal business partner, going beyond traditional technical support to actively engage with other departments, fostering innovation, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing customer experiences.

Specific Expected Contributions
- Provides Global Technology support following MVW Global Technology processes.
- Provides project support for new technology deployments and upgrades.
- May lead a project team.
- Defines standards and guidelines for use of Data Center colocation providers such as power requirements, rack elevations, access standards.
- Defines standards and guidelines for Main Distribution Frames (MDF) and Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDF) at all MVW locations including environmental monitoring, electrical power protection (UPS), physical access, CMDB and documentation standards.
- Collaborates with audit and compliance teams to meet and maintain various compliance requirements.
- Maintains relationships and manages contracts with various colocation providers.
- Ensures locations are securing and maintaining Data Centers’ technology assets by MVW policies and standards.
- Evaluates and make recommendations regarding technology/asset life cycles and deployment prioritizations.
- Works with Global Technology Field Technology site resources to audit and ensure compliance of policies and procedures in MDF and IDF spaces.
- Provides support of overall disaster recovery and business continuity plans and procedures as it relates to Data Centers technology support with colocation providers, main distribution frames (MDF) and intermediate distribution frames (IDF) at all MVWC locations.
- Works with stakeholders to ensure the CMDB, diagrams, verticals, and MDF & IDF rack standards are maintained through expansions and remodels. Coordinates with third party contractors and PM’s working in remote MDF and IDF to ensure changes, work, and cleanup meets MDF and IDF standards.

Specific Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent work experience
Certifications
- Relevant certifications in IT management, project management, or relevant technologies
Experience
- At least 10 years progressive experience in Data Centers technology and agreements.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and integrated solutions.
- Familiarity with financial analysis and associated reporting tools.
- Experience managing the budget process and being financially accountable for achieving results.
- Proven experience driving organizational change and leading technology transformations via stakeholder engagement and vendor management.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating into a group product vision by leveraging expertise in product development, systems integrations, and engineering.
- Proven ability to apply advanced analytical, conceptual strategic planning, and execution skills to solve complex technical challenges, optimizing performance, and ensuring scalability.
