POSITION SUMMARY

Coordinates with other departments to respond to requests and resolve maintenance issues and to put rooms needing maintenance out of order. Coordinate and schedule with other departments in the event of major system shut down or major repair or improvement. Assists with audits, inspections, month end and year end processes. Maintain purchase orders log, inventory and supplies in Engineering Department.

Reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Follows all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcomes and acknowledges all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speaks with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other associates. Complies with quality assurance expectations and standards. Stands, sits, or walks for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Moves, lifts, carries, pushes, pulls, and places objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

                



CRITICAL TASKS


Safety and Security

  • Reports work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
  • Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
  • Follows company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.

  • Protects the privacy and security of guests and coworkers.
  • Ensures uniform, nametags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions

  • Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Record, store, and/or analyze information using property software.
  • Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for control and analysis.
  • Maintain records of sites licenses and permits, ensures all are up to date.
  • Coordinates state and city inspections for the site.
  • Coordinates and schedules with other departments in the event of major system shut down or major repair or improvement.
  • Maintains purchase orders log, inventory and supplies in Engineering Department.
  • Assists management to ensure that hourly associates have the necessary resources to effectively perform their jobs (e.g., supplies, equipment, uniforms and inventory).
  • Coordinates with Housekeeping or Front Desk to put rooms needing maintenance out of order.
  • Reports any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor.
  • Maintains purchase orders log and file purchase orders upon payment, ensuring that orders match packing slips
  • Orders items, including filling out requisitions, obtaining manager approval, and using appropriate vendors.
  • Assist Engineers with training through myMVWHR and/or coordinate and schedule outside vendor to preform training.
  • Orders items, including filling out requisitions, obtaining manager approval, and using appropriate vendors.
  • Maintains purchase orders log and file purchase orders upon payment, ensuring that orders match packing slips.
  • Marks stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Determines proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Complies with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Communication

  • Addresses guests' service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
  • Assists other associates to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.
  • Prepares and reviews written documents (e.g., daily logs, business letters, memoranda, reports), including proofreading and editing written information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Speaks to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.
  • Discusses work topics, activities, or problems with coworkers, supervisors, or managers discreetly and quietly, avoiding public areas of the property.

  • Reads and visually verifies information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).
  • Visually inspects tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects).
