JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: BEACH DOOR ACCESS CONTROLLER
DEPARTMENT: LOSS PREVENTION
REPORTS TO: LOSS PREVENTION MANAGER
INTERACTIONS WITH: GUESTS, OWNERS, ASSOCIATES AND 3RD PARTY VENDOR EMPLOYEES
WORKING SHIFT: Monday to Sunday, full time 8 hours between 09:00 to 23:00.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide a professional and courteous welcome to guests entering the resort via the beach gate area. Have a control in place of all individuals entering the resort, following the guidelines given by the company via managers and supervisors.
Quality of service based on the Marriott Vacation Club International standards. Beach access controller needs to be at the beach accesses of the resort, his/her work position, at all times. Only leaving this area for his/her authorized breaks Beach access controller needs to be vigilant at all times, observing guests entering the resort to ensure they are in house guests and not intruders. Complete knowledge of the associates working onsite, property, services provided and operation hours. Maintain the cleaning standards at the workplace. Understanding of his/her position on the general emergency plan at the property, as well as the different levels of emergency and what to do in each level (blue, yellow, red) Be proactive to detect any possible problem or situation that may occur at the main entrance that may imply a risk for guests, associates or providers at the resort. In case of any anomaly, the controller must inform immediately to his supervisor/manager or in his/her absence, to the manager on duty (MOD).
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Capable of standing most of the time during the shift, plus long periods under the sun. No physical problems to develop this type of position (standing most of the time and under the sun) Good visual observation Capable to handle stress and difficult situations in case of guests & associates’ complaints or emergency situations. Capable to work on different shifts, morning, afternoon or evening, week days, weekends or bank holidays. Medical checks recommended.
Fluent in Spanish. Medium understanding of English. Minimum of experience on customer service or similar

Be punctual when entering the shift. Clean and neat appearance is always required, wearing a proper nametag and impeccable uniform. Perform all tasks in a timely manner ensuring all deadlines are met. Maintain a positive attitude and commitment, to provide an excellent service to all guests, associates and providers. Work with all colleagues as a team, supporting the needs within the team and those of the business always. Fulfill the resort guidelines, and make others (guests, associates and provides) understand them too Respect and perform other related tasks as assigned by management.
