Specific Job Summary
The Associate Director, Endpoint Engineering is responsible and accountable for all People, Processes, and Technology in support of ensuring the Company’s strategic direction related to Endpoint infrastructure & collaboration systems This role provides Leadership to a Team of Associates and the efforts of our Global Sourcing Partner to understand business requirements by developing, refining, and meeting all SLAs as required within this area of responsibility. This critical role reports directly to the VP, Infrastructure and Operations while working closely with other IT disciplines, IT Security and Controls, Internal Audit, Asset Management, Procurement, and other groups as identified to ensure compliance with set requirements.

Specific Expected Contributions
- Provide oversight and leadership of the Endpoint Engineering Team: manages and develops staff, sets goals and priorities, resolves conflicting direction and serve as subject matter expert for the Endpoint Engineering technologies team on a day-to-day basis. Acts as an escalation point for customer inquiries and issues.
- Responsible for supplier outcomes to ensure alignment and achievement of goals and objectives as they relate to the Endpoint Engineering scope.
- Sets standards and leads direction for Endpoint Application Packaging, Integration, and Patch deployment.
- Responsible and Accountable for proactively preventing and reactively resolving identified issues by working closely with VP-Infrastructure and Operations, Global Sourcing Partner, IT Towers, Internal Audit, IT Security and Controls, Information Security & Protection Teams, Software Asset Management, and Procurement Teams.
- Oversees the adherence to applicable Security Controls, Policies, and Standards as it relates to Endpoint Engineering tools and technologies: partners with business owners and technology groups to synchronize plans for deployment and issue resolution.
- Works closely with VP Infrastructure and Operations, Global Sourcing Partner, Infrastructure and Tools Towers, IT Security and Controls, Information Security, Product owners and other stakeholders to define and develop new tools and technologies as they relate to current offerings.
- Oversees efforts for version control and release management discipline for the controlled deployment of operating systems, packaged software releases, and patch management.
- Oversees the creation, measurement, and key metrics reporting that reflect the performance of the responsible technology and processes with a focus on compliance to standards for the enterprise technology environment.
- Oversees the implementation of test strategies and matures the team’s skills by introducing progressive testing concepts that focus on efficiency but sacrifice nothing on quality.
- Oversees defect detection, documentation, and “confirmation of resolution” processes, ensuring that a standard approach is being followed throughout the larger End User Technology team and that proper tooling and reporting mechanisms are in place.
- Oversees the desktop software engineering discipline focused on the design and configuration of End User Technologies including operating systems, mobile device management, automated provisioning, software applications, security tools, behavioral policies, and performance of all end user devices.
- Oversees refining repeatable and continually improving processes. Mature the team’s capabilities by introducing progressive concepts that focus on efficiency but sacrifice nothing on quality.
- Responsible for the Team’s high-level troubleshooting processes across assigned technologies.
- Owns the software version control and source code management process. Ensures that a standard approach is being followed throughout the larger Enterprise Technology team and that proper tooling and reporting are in place.
- Responsible for the End User Lifecycle and Lease Refresh Programs for the enterprise.
- Maintains accountability of the MVW Warehouse facility in Lakeland, FL, to include shipping, receiving, and staging of equipment.
- Act as a player/coach by bringing leadership and guidance to the Endpoint Engineering Technology Team across all facets of operating system imaging, software packaging, and configuration management disciplines.
- Create a sense of accountability across the organization to foster a culture that “owns” all misses and uses them to drive future process improvements.
- Understand the business’s objectives and build alignment and buy-in across a global community.
- Motivate all team members to deliver high quality projects within time and budget.
- Maintain vendor relationships and technology road maps, evaluate new technologies for compatibility and security compliance, contribute to endpoint lifecycle management discipline for timely delivery of new services.

- Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:

Specific Candidate Profile
Education:
- BS/MS Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience related to Endpoint Engineering technologies noted previously.
Certifications Preferred:
- Relevant certifications in IT management, project management, or relevant technologies
Experience
- At least 8 years of Desktop Engineering / End User Computing/Microsoft Cloud Application Technology management experience
Skills/Attributes

- Expert knowledge of endpoint computing technologies (i.e. desktop, laptop, tablet, mobile devices, printers, etc.), operating systems (i.e. Windows, OSX, Android, iOS, etc.) and configuration/management systems (i.e. Active Directory, BigFix, Bomgar, SCCM, LANDesk, AirWatch, InTune, HP JetAdmin, MarkVision, Uniflow, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of common, industry leading endpoint configuration methodologies, with awareness of when and how to rely on them
- Proven experience transforming manual imaging and software packaging processes into an efficient automation-centric approach
- Ability to measure team and individuals’ performance through the definition and measuring of key performance indicators, and ability to push the quality bar higher
- Technical
- Demonstrated experience with collaboration tools (audio, video, web, phone)
- Expert at building and managing OS images, software packaging, end user computing services – technically able to understand complex systems and know how to develop them
- Experience designing, packaging, testing, and deploying COTS, SaaS and custom products required
- Experience establishing, spearheading, and owning Software Library and Version Management across a diverse portfolio of software vendors, titles, and versions
- Expert knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office tools (O365, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) to analyze data, convey complex visual information to a diverse audience, and deliver end-user documentation
- Project Management Skills
- ITIL Foundation certification (or higher) required, Project Management certification desirable
- Prior experience leading and managing a team of enterprise OS Imaging and software packaging engineers with track record of successfully validating and delivering high quality products
- Experience with Agile/Scrum management techniques preferred
- Experience with Cherwell, Service Now, CA, Jira or similar work management tools required
